Summary: | Last May, Hykes and other Mennonite High School students took their game to the Carribbean nation of Haiti, competing against the under-17 national team and using the sport as a ministry tool. This summer, Hykes also volunteered to help out with a trip for junior high school students from Congregational Bible Church in Marietta, where he attends. The group worked for a camp in Northern Pennsylvania and took children from West Philadelphia on a day trip to Lancaster. Hykes lives with his parents, B.J. and Michael Hykes, and brother Jonathan, 16, at 4046 Marietta Ave., Columbia. |
