Summary: | "We lost some players last year who were really important to us," said [Tom Powers]. "Then we picked up Myles (Martin) and Corey (Stratton) from the div-1's. At the beginning they didn't get much playing time but then they sparked us. I think Myles was our leading scorer with 14 goals." "At the beginning of the year the Wolves were pretty confident," said defender Steve Waring. "We started off pretty strong and then over the Christmas break we kind of struggled with all of the cancellations. It seems like other teams kind of woke up a bit and gave us a bit of run at the end. It's been interesting." "I think it's a healthy rivalry," he said. "We both push each other. At the same time we've had our little differences but at the end of the day we're still trying to push each other ahead. And I think that's how you become better players and better teams. Last year they beat us twice this year we beat them once. |
