Summary:The battle for control of Melbourne radio station owner Data & Commerce Ltd will heat up this week after a decision by the former managing director to sever all ties with the group and sell his 17 per cent stake to the highest bidder. Jeff Chatfield, whose stake in DCL is held via his Singapore-based Advent Television, has instructed stockbrokerage CCZ Equities to sell the shares as quickly as possible. CCZ Equities director Roger Colman told The Age that he expected at least 30 per cent of DCL's capital to change hands in coming weeks as other backers of Mr Chatfield sold out.
