Summary: | THE cameras are set to roll on a second series of the ABC coastal drama East of Everything. The top-notch cast from series one, including Richard Roxburgh, Tom Long, Gia Carides and Susie Porter, will be back in front of the cameras in Byron Bay next Monday. Joining them in this series will be Nick Tate, who will play Gerry, the father of Art (Roxburgh) and Vance (Long). Tracy Mann and New Zealand actor Craig Hall (King Kong) are also in the cast. Series two has been written by Deb Cox and Roger Monk. The directors are Stuart MacDonald (East of Everything series one, Summer Heights High, The Secret Life of Us); Tony Tilse (Underbelly, City Homicide, CrashBurn); and Ian Watson (Love My Way, The Cooks). Executive producers are Miranda Dear and Amanda Higgs (ABC) and Fiona Eagger. The story resumes five months after Art and Vance Watkins have submitted to their dead mother's wishes and reopened the backpacker spot, the Far Out East. "East of Everything series two takes the world of Broken Bay and its inhabitants into new territory, amplifying the comedy and pace and delivering a series of quality, heart and humour," Eagger says. |
