Summary:In Sydney's Pitt Street mall, children dressed as [Harry Potter] ran about at lunchtime, and in the NSW Parliament, Premier Bob Carr called himself the "chief wizard", and added the book series to the state's school literacy program. The Hoyts cinema complex at Chatswood on Sydney's north shore was packed with school uniforms yesterday morning as more than 190 students from Shore boys school and 180 from Epping Boys High attended sessions. Marian, Alexander and Catherine Corbet, from Lane Cove in Sydney's north, took the day off school to see the movie. While 14- year-old Marian was not overly impressed, sister Catherine, 8, loved it.
