Summary:As well as their much-loved policewoman, Constable Sally Urquhardt, the Bamaga and Injinoo communities lost community sport and recreation officer Helena Wossup, 25, and Madie Bowie, 30, who was travelling with her cousin Fred Bowie, 25, a quiet man and talented athlete. Mr Sonter, 44, had boarded the flight to help his wife Kerry drive the 900km back to Bamaga from Cairns. She had been visiting a relative who had been diagnosed with cancer in Townsville. Ken Hurst, 55 had boarded the flight to return to Brisbane after a fishing trip in the Cape. Mr Hurst, from Brookwater, west of Brisbane had been fishing with friend Noel Lewis, 46 from Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast. Mr Lewis also died in the accident and is survived by his wife Janet.
