Summary:I arrived at [Narelle]'s house on time for the early start we'd discussed only to discover Harry's car parked outside. I'd flounced off more than once about Harry. He was an old friend of Narelle's and was in the driveway getting his motorbike ready to go for a ride. He kept it in Narelle's garage, as there was nowhere safe at his place. The car stopped about five houses away. She could see both Harry and I were there. She got out, walked around the car, took a deep breath, got back in, drove up and parked in the driveway. Harry said he thought she'd headed off already. Narelle explained about dropping the cats off and he said: "It would be cheaper to have them put down and get new ones when you return." It was an old line he'd used a few weeks back about his own cat. What could be more frugal than reusing an old gag? Narelle laughed at it again. Harry disappeared on his bike and Narelle into the house. Narelle then said in a reassuring way that it was me she was going away with but was running late and would need about 20 minutes to pack. She asked if I could take her fish to her sister Ann to be looked after while we were away. Mr Fish was delivered. Ann then asked if I could take some things back for Narelle's cats that should have gone to the vet.
