Summary: | I would like to respond to Judy Valentine's letter of Dec. 17 ("Six girls won game, six others sat on bench"). We believe that she has misunderstood the difference between school and house league sports. Prince Charles Public School is very lucky to have a dedicated coaching staff who put in many hours of their own time. Our daughters were proud to play on the volleyball team and are proud of their coach. They feel that Ms. Valentine's remarks have robbed them of the pride they felt because of that win. We believe that if Ms. Valentine's child is unable to cope with the realities of school team sports, then she should be steered towards house league sports. |
