Summary: | Colin Russell is poised to become one of the best swimmers Barrie has ever produced. Last month, the product of the Barrie Trojans Swim Club finished third in the 400-metre freestyle final at the Canadian nationals in Victoria, B.C., earning himself a spot on Canada's 2003 Pan American Games team. In September, Russell will begin attending and training at Indiana University on a scholarship, following in the footsteps of David Schulze, another former Barrie Trojans swimmer. [Dean Henze] hopes the additional training will help Russell reach his goals.
