Summary:In "Empire of Dreams," a 21/2-hour documentary that includes new interviews with [George Lucas], [Harrison Ford], [Carrie Fisher] and [Mark Hamill], the four talk proudly about making their marks as young whippersnappers with "Star Wars," 1980's "The Empire Strikes During an early interview with Lucas and Brian De Palma, she says the latter "did all the talking because George didn't talk then." He sure talks now. Looking much more relaxed today than in footage from the'70s and'80s, Lucas chats easily about how he made "American Graffiti" -- after "THX 1138" tanked and before "Star Wars" -- because he decided to "take up the challenge Francis (Ford Coppola) gave me (when he said), 'I bet you can't do a silly comedy.'"
