Summary: | Dr. [Paavo Airola] retired and moved away in 1961, but the club was delighted to welcome Cobourg resident Peter Kolisnyk as its new instructor -- himself an accomplished artist. His wife Anne was a director of the Cobourg Art Gallery (now the Art Gallery of Northumberland). It was quite a trek from [Collingwood] to Cobourg, but Mr. [Jim Paget] -- a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and the University of Guelph -- had a keen group of students to work with. Day-long classes were held under the auspices of Sir Sandford Fleming College in their William Street building, and outdoors during the summer. |
