Summary: | So government polling says health districts don't work? So a premier will wave a wand and health districts will be gone? I have never been premier, but I don't think government operates that way. A premier must be more a servant leader than a supreme being. When premiers do have to take a leadership role, I would like to think that they would do more than look at polls. The other thing districts need is a provincial and national vision of health that Canadians agree to. This vision should not just focus on acute care, which gets all the media attention. I hope the Fyke commissions work will help Saskatchewan inform the whole country about what a sustainable, responsible and effective health system should look like. |
