"The house was totally surrounded by flames and smoke. It must have spread so fast. You feel you want to run in and try to pull someone out," said neighbour Brett Goodall, who was among the first to arrive at the house. "You couldn't get close. The firefighters were there too and they couldn't get into it either. There was nothing anyone could do. I cannot get into my head how ([Marc Woerlen]) is going to cope with this. It was a big, lovely, well- functioning family."
