Summary: | The shopping was better here in the mid-1980s than it is now. Of course the large retailers in the Sault are opposed to a Big Box outlet. It would mean a little competition and the consumer can only benefit from competitive retail. It's about time city council opened its eyes and its ears and paid attention to what the residents of Sault Ste. Marie want. This city has great potential since we are a border crossing. Why not make the Sault a truly great place to visit? As it stands now, if I were a tourist you'd have a hard time convincing me that it would be worth my while to plan a return trip. |
