Summary: | In November 2001 the Canadian Orthopedic Association held its annual meeting in Mississaugua, Ont. Representatives from participating cities across Canada attended. It was announced that $1.5 million was raised nationally through the Hip Hip Hooray campaign. Most of the funds raised were through the Hip Hip Hooray Walkathon which is held the last Sunday in May each year, at each city. Half of the funds raised are kept at the site and half are raised for research designated by the Canadian Orthopedic Foundation.
