Summary:[Seals] said [William Shanklin] told him he thought that Davion was dead, so he reported him missing to keep Matriesha Turner, his girlfriend and Davion's aunt, from being angry with him. Davion's body was found the next day beneath some leaves in a wooded area by a pedestrian walkway that goes over Power Plant Parkway near Briarfield Road. Cell-phone records show that Shanklin made several calls from the area the night before he led police to Davion's body. Photos displayed during the trial showed the boy on the ground in a near-fetal position, covered with dirt and wearing only a diaper.
