Summary:Many diverse images remain from our trip, but two burn especially bright in my memory. The first would have to be the incredibly intense beauty of this island, hence the nickname. Wherever you happen to be on Kauai, you're always surrounded by a dazzling array of flowers and lush, green foliage. During our boat cruise up the Wailua River to the Fern Grotto, thoughts of how Eden must have appeared to Adam and Eve crossed my mind. The second, almost simultaneous, image I have of Kauai is the warmth and friendliness exhibited by the people who live there.
