Summary:Al Qasi has since won a top race in Ireland and Balthazaar's Gift maintained his good run of form by finishing a close third behind Red Clubs in the Sprint Cup at Haydock. Balthazaar's Gift was beaten a whisker in the Golden Jubilee at Ascot last year, and ran a close third to Dark Missile under a huge weight in the Wokingham in June - he meets the winner on favourable terms today. Carrying 9st 13lb, Balthazaar's Gift also ran a blinder to finish a closeup sixth behind Zidane in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood. He was eating up the ground close home and is 12lb better off with the winner this time.
