Summary: | [Pat Henshaw] charges pounds 100 a consultation and a further pounds 50 an hour for a personal shopping trip. We decided [Phill Bird] certainly needed some help, so we ventured into Guildford High Street. At M&S Pat made a bee-line for a black chenille Italian evening jacket at pounds 85. Phill slipped one on and we gasped as his new Italian stallion image came within our grasp. A group of blondes at the bar fired glances in Phill's direction. Remembering [PETA Heskell]'s advice, he delved into his imagination to conjure up a positive image. "I'm thinking about the Deltic engine I saw once," he confided. "They are very rare." With that, he shot the girls a dazzling smile. At our table, Phill plucked up a little more courage. "I really like your hair," he told waitress Willow Norton, 23. "Thank-you," replied Willow. "What a nice thing to say." NERD ABOUT TOWN: Peta shows him how NOT to impress the women (above); MR SMOOTH Jenny cuts Phill's hair close to the scalp (left); SHADY LADY: Pat decides which colours best suit Phill; GO TO BLAZERS: Pat helps Phill pick out a stylish jacket (above); SUCCESS: The new- look Phill impresses girl-about-town Willow (left) |
