A YOUNG woman walked in, sat down in front of me and said: "Doctor, I want to go on the pill." She couldn't get out quick enough when I explained that I was a Doctor of Economics, not medicine!" MY favourite moment in a surgery came just after my election victory. An elderly lady gave me a huge hug and said she had voted for me because she knew I was the only candidate who could help exorcise the devil from her vacuum cleaner.
