Summary:Somehow we must enact laws that, within a framework of punishment, reflect some measure of restitution proportionally equal to the level of long-term damage created by a senseless act. Offenses such as these too often allow for the punishment of the offender(s) but without consequential restitution. This country was built by immigrants of every culture, every color and every religion. Instead of lowering our voices and erasing Christmas themes as to not offend anyone, why don't we instead encourage our neighbors to celebrate their customs and traditions as well? Instead of sanitizing everything, why not bring to the front the rich and colorful details of every faith, every culture and every religion? Yes, by the way, I did boycott stores that made a point to not use the word "Christmas." I don't do "Non-Specified Non- Sectarian Generic Holiday" shopping. I don't even celebrate that day. I do "Christmas" shopping.
