Summary:Georgia For Dean is an all-volunteer grass-roots organization of ordinary people working to help Howard Dean win the Georgia primary. All of our communications emphatically state that we are unaffiliated with the national Dean for America campaign. Monday's "Political Insider" column ("[Bush] visit ruffles some GOP feathers," Metro) not only mischaracterized my position as a Dean spokesperson, but references to "Dean people in Atlanta" planning to use former Ambassador Andrew Young's attendance at President Bush's fund-raiser in any way are simply false. Every member of Georgia For Dean holds Young in the highest regard and would never use such tactics, least of all as a means to attack the credentials of Gen. Wesley Clark or any other Democratic candidate.
