Summary: | Thank you for Martha Ezzard's excellent column ("Intervention no way to fill court seats," @issue, July 22). One of the vital reasons for defeating President [Bush] in next year's election is to deprive him and his radical posse of megalomaniacs of the chance to move the Supreme Court and all the lower federal judiciary even further to the right than they already are. Too many judges will retire or expire in the next five years and Bush must not be in a position to replace them. Should we assume that they, too, are illegal immigrants? Should we assume that all Latinos are illegal immigrants and are gang- affiliated? Such racism and ignorance give Georgia a bad name, and I am ashamed of the writer's comments.
