But the money is slow in coming now that the state is dealing with its own financial woes. During the board's October meeting, Trankina had warned the board and the community about what the district could look like if the cuts were made. For example, a third-grade class with an average class size of 19 could increase to a class size of 35 because of the reduction in teaching positions.
