Summary: | The next possibility is a former high school Mr. Basketball in Kentucky. Ross Neltner announced last Thursday that he is leaving the LSU program. Neltner's father, [Rick Neltner], said the schools the Fort Thomas, Ky., player is considering include WVU, Wake Forest, Purdue, Ohio State and Michigan. The 6-foot-9 Neltner will have to sit out next season. A move to WVU for 2006-07 could have his on-court arrival mesh with the loss of five crucial seniors in Beilein's program - [Mike Gansey], Kevin Pittsnogle, Jarmon-Durisseau Collins, Johannes Herber and Patrick Beilein. WVU had 7-foot Penn State transfer Robert Summers sitting out this season, while Northwestern State transfer D'or Fischer was a Mountaineer senior who set WVU shot-block records. |
