Summary:  1. [Martin Loya] stands on top of his sport-utility vehicle Tuesday as bystanders help rescue him from a flooded arroyo off Los Pinos Road in La Cienega. Loya drove into the arroyo at Paseo del Angel and became stuck in the mud. 2. Loya and his wife, Diana, right, look through their vehicle after it was pulled out of the flooded arroyo. Loya was crossing the arroyo at Paseo de Angel when his 2006 Mercury Mountaineer got stuck in the mud. Only a couple of feet of water was flowing down the arroyo at the time, he said. He shifted the vehicle into four-wheel drive and tried to drive away, but a flash flood came rushing down the arroyo and began to wash his vehicle downstream.
