Summary:  Among the other cities, Berlin, Montreal and Buenos Aires, Argentina, also are Cities of Design; Aswan, Egypt, is a Folk Art City; Edinburgh, Scotland, is a City of Literature; Seville, Spain, and Bologna, Italy, are Cities of Music; and Popay n, Colombia, is a City of Gastronomy. Edinburgh and Seville did not send representatives to the Santa Fe meeting. Guillermo Alberto Gonz lez said he wants to establish long- lasting cultural and economic ties between Popay n and Santa Fe. The two areas are similar, he said, in that each boasts art from its indigenous inhabitants. Popay n, which was founded by Spanish colonists in the early 16th century, has a thriving silk industry, said Gonz lez, the city's former mayor. 1.
