Summary: | I think bowling is way too easy for some bowlers. If you have some bowling skill, knowledge, strength for ball speed, and a good bowling ball, bowling is too easy. If you are missing one of those, bowling is still a challenging game. Proprietors are to blame for luring bowlers with easy conditions to inflate their scores and egos. And bowlers are to blame for blindly going to centers with the easiest conditions. Should we go back to the technology of 1895 to 1907, when bowlers used wooden balls and there were no 300 games; to the 1940s, when rubber bowling balls were used and there were about 130 perfect games per year; to the 1970s, with plastic and polyester balls and 1,500 perfect games a year, or to the 1980s with urethane balls and 7,000 300s per year? |
