Summary: | Glasgow Development XV: G Thomson; R Watson, J Kerr, C [Chris Potham], A Scott; J Duguid, M Goldie; C Hastie, S MacKinnon, G Sykes, S Male, S Orr, J [John Fitzpatrick], P Burke, G Tippett. Subs: G Reid for MacKinnon, G Francis for Burke, G Mories for Hastie, I Monaghan for Goldie, F Sinclair for Duguid, all 40; C Pollock for Male 56. A penalty by Jamie Duguid squared matters in 14 minutes, and the Ayr stand-off was on target with a conversion of a try by [Jamie Kerr], who crashed through two tackles and raced in between the posts after 34 minutes. Glasgow stretched their lead with a close-range penalty by Duguid, awarded for handling in the ruck, an offence that earned the perpetrator Paul Sullivan a ten-minute spell in the sin bin. After the break, replacement scrum-half Iain Monaghan started a move with slick service at a ruck, and the ball was swept right then left, where Fitzpatrick took the pass and finished. |
