Summary:CRAIG Brown couldn't even escape in the bowels of the RFK Stadium in Washington. "Do you think Ally McCoist would have taken those chances?" squawked the baseball-capped American journalist. But Brown was not the only one to have the presence of McCoist stalking him on the trip. No sooner had Scottish journalists checked into the Washington DC hotel than an employee greeted us with a "Y'all here for the soccer? Where's McCoist?" Quite what channel they put Question of Sport on is anyone's guess. The question - although asked by two people at different advanced stages of ignorance on Scottish football - might come creeping back with far more relevance and vengeance within a fortnight. Look out for it should Scotland go into the final Group A match against Morocco on 23 June having failed to score against Brazil and Norway.
