Summary:The death of a Birmingham mother whose car wheel became trapped in dislodged drains on the Aston Expressway was an accident, an inquest jury has decided. Dr Richard Whittington had said earlier that it was impossible for legal reasons for the jury to return a verdict of unlawful killing due to gross neglect over the death of 26-year-old Mrs Nagina Ahmadizadeh of Ryland Road, Erdington. But the jury foreman told Dr Whittington that some members were unhappy about having to discount the possibility of an unlawful killing verdict. The fact that she was not wearing a seatbelt was behind Dr Whittington's decision.
