For the hosts, they will not have Stephen Appiah in the squad due to a nagging knee injury, and will have to turn to Portsmouth's Sulley Muntari and Chelsea's Michael Essien. Just on the horizon is the Australian Open. Last year's winners, Roger Federer and Serena Williams, will be hot favourites but we shouldn't discard the rest of them.
