Summary:His manager, Rafael Benitez, had done as much as he could in terms of backing his man. ``Yes,'' Benitez said, ``Chelsea have Lampard, Makelele, Tiago and Gudjohnsen. All fine players, some of the best in the world. But I have [Steven Gerrard]. He is better than the lot.'' Add to that the immense Jamie Carragher and the tireless Steve Finnan. Everywhere you looked, red shirts were excelling. Then Gerrard chipped in himself with a sliding tackle on substitute Arjen Robben as the Dutch winger prepared to pull the trigger. With the clock ticking down, a brave block on the edge of the box repelled Eidur Gudjohnsen.
