Summary: | Sir, - I cannot work out if Ruth Eglash was being serious or sarcastic in her cover story about the IDF going soft having women in the war. Does she feel, like Ezer Weizman, "Maidele, your place is in the kitchen," or is she proud of our women who are prepared to do what their brothers in arms are doing? Sir, - The fallaciousness of MJ Rosenberg's world view is proven by his mistaken belief that Yitzhak Rabin would have completed the Oslo peace process, had he lived ("Anguish and triumph," August 4). At the time of his assassination Israel had gone through a summer of terror and it was obvious that the Oslo process had failed. Sir, - As a regular reader of The Jerusalem Post, I would like to praise Saul Singer's "Fighting Goliath" (August 4). Again the most important thing for the world, as in earlier Israeli wars, is to understand who is David and who is Goliath. |
