They are truly doing extraordinary work in advancing the status of Beduin women. Thank you for mentioning Shatil's empowerment of Beduin women project. I would just like to note that Shatil's ability to educate the hundreds of Beduin women you mentioned in your article regarding their health and civil rights is made possible by Great Britain's Community Fund-Lottery Money Making a Difference. Pursuant to the article on Beit Daniel ("Temple Count," June 22), I would like to emphasize the unique contributions and inspiration brought to this enterprise by Ruth and Gerry Daniel, dedicated Jews from the US, who have invested immeasurably in bringing Beit Daniel from a concept to reality, thus advancing Progressive Judaism in Tel Aviv. To my regret, their pivotal contributions to the success of the congregation were not mentioned in the article.
