Summary:Soldiers studying at the Tzrifin base will be able to get extra help in English in a few months thanks to the Histadrut, Libi chairman Maj.-Gen. (res.) Danny Matt said yesterday after the cornerstone of a language lab was laid at the base. The Histadrut donated NIS 200,000 to Libi, the IDF's educational fund, to build a lab equipped with 16 stations that will be open to any soldier who wants to improve his or her English, he said. Matt explained that one of Libi's main goals is helping soldiers obtain an education and they decided to build the lab because proficiency in English is often a prerequisite for both higher education and technical courses.
