RWE gets bids on water unit MARKETPLACE by Bloomberg 3 Edition
RWE, which bought the water supplier in 2000 for l6.7 billion, or $12.7 billion, wants to sell Thames to raise money to buy natural gas and electricity assets before European markets open to full competition in mid-2007. Thames Water supplies 13 million customers in and around London.
