Summary:As Major League Baseball owners approved the sale of the Los Angeles Dodgers to media mogul Rupert Murdoch for a record $350 million yesterday, sources close to the New York talks said the Boss is mulling several scenarios that eventually could turn over a large stake of the Bronx Bombers to Cablevision. "The possibility of Cablevision buying into the Yankees was discussed," Steinbrenner spokesman Howard Rubenstein said. "But no deal was made. The Boss is here to stay." A source close to the talks said Steinbrenner was considering a deal that would give Cablevision, which owns the Knicks, Rangers, Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall, a slice of the franchise now, with an option to buy the rest of Steinbrenner's interest later. Steinbrenner owns about 60% of the team.
