Summary:Thirteen historic German cities, members of Historic Highlights of Germany, have banded together to offer 16 Dream Routes offering a variety of themes and interests, such as On the Trail of the Romans, Medieval Masterpieces, German Wine Sampler and The Roots of the Reformation; as well as trips with a geographic focus, such as From the Black Forest to Bavaria, Historic Cities of the Rhine and Mosel and Historic Cities of the North. These tours are designed to assist travelers by informing and guiding rather than selling a particular package. German Wine Sampler A: The wine regions of Saale-Unstrut, Franconia and Baden have helped shape the history, culture, art and people of Germany. Towns and cities along the route, including Erfurt, Wurzburg and Freiburg, not only offer a wide range of vineyards, wine cellars, wineries and wines, but also culture and history dating back 2,000 years. Historic Highlights of Germany is a tourism consortium consisting of Augsburg, Erfurt, Freiburg, Heidelberg, Koblenz, [Lubeck], Munster, Potsdam, Regensburg, Rostock, Trier, Wiesbaden and Wurzburg, all rich in historic and cultural heritage.
