Summary:A congressional hearing into the autism/vaccination link was held in the USA in April because of parental disquiet and anecdotal evidence of a connection. A number of doctors and scientists gave evidence to support an association between multiple vaccination, bowel disease and neurological problems, particularly autism. Dr Bernard Rimland, director of the Autism Research Institute in California, said, "There is no plausible alternative to vaccines as the most likely cause of this epidemic."
