Students need shoes meant for walking, not for making a fashion statement, if they don't want their feet shredded by blisters. And boots are a must in the winter to keep your feet warm and dry as you trudge through the snow. North Central College student Karmen Etter has some deep advice for incoming freshman. She advises bringing yourself. So many times, she says, freshmen change who they are just to impress other people.
