Summary: | "We know what we're capable of doing in the ring," Cotto said. "Margarito knows what he has to do in his camp. I know what I have to do in my camp. We don't have to talk trash about what we're going to do." He will move west to take on Margarito (36-5, 26 KOs), who KO'd Kermit Cintron on the undercard of that Cotto-[Alfonso Gomez] card to win the IBF welterweight crown. Cotto, 27, hasn't fought in Las Vegas in four years as his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank has been trying to establish Cotto as an East Coast star. This will be the first time in three years that Cotto hasn't fought at the Garden as part of the June festivities associated with the Puerto Rican Day Parade. He even slipped and mentioned Madison Square Garden when talking about the Margarito fight. |
