Summary: | Dear Martha Carr: I moved into an apartment almost two years ago. There were a lot of things wrong with it when I moved in, and the landlord said he would fix them as soon as possible. Worst is a major leak in my living room where the rain rolls down between two roof sections between the front hall and the side room. It has stained the gold wallpaper badly enough that there are brown stains all around the crack. When I was a child, I lived at 4213 Cook Avenue in St. Louis. Several ladies, who referred to themselves as "The Cook Avenue Bunch," had a lot to do with my upbringing. I saw them very briefly at my grandmother's funeral, and I would like to be in touch with them again - soon - but I don't know how to find them. I hope they will recognize themselves and get in touch with me. - DIANNE SUGG, 9411 Clocktower Lane, Columbia, Md. 21046; phone: (301) 498-5393. |
