Summary: | Dear Martha Carr: My husband was disabled in Vietnam and is unable to work outside our home. When we were married last January, he agreed to adopt my two teen-agers by a former marriage, so that they would be covered by his disabled veteran benefit programs. Do you know of any way we can find out about them? The Veterans Administration wasn't very forthcoming when we went there. R.S. The federal government has published a book that might be of help to you. It is "Federal Benefits for Veterans and Dependents." It lists medical, educational, loan, insurance, compensation, pension and other programs offered by the VA and other agencies. It was compiled last year. |
