Summary: | Dear Martha Carr: We were talking about our coming summer vacation the other night and, once again, we ended up in an argument. Vacations are a real thing for us. My husband hates to go places with the children, the children hate to go places with my husband, and I am caught in the middle. The moment we get into the car, he sets up rules. He goes at "enjoyment" in a very selfish, negative way that reigns supreme during the entire time we are supposed to be having a good time. When we get home, everyone is tired and antagonistic, and it takes a week or so to get back to normal. |
