Summary: | Dear Martha Carr: I am in charge of our school's May Day celebration. We thought it would be fun to have a May Pole dance, but have no idea of how to go about doing it. The dance itself is not difficult. There are several patterns that can be woven. You can probably get some dance directions from the person whom you consult about the pole. You might add mimes, gymnasts and interpretive dancers. Put on a pageant about the arrival of spring and finish with your May Pole - and lots of flowers. Family Find: I am trying to locate members of the Meyer family. I understand that several still live in the St. Louis area. My father, Donald David Meyer, was born June 27, 1923, in Missouri, died on Dec. 8, 1968, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia. His mother, Marie Cadron Meyer, was born Aug. 30, 1890, in St. Louis, and died Oct. 8, 1964, in St. Louis. His father, Arthur Leo Meyer, was born on Dec. 19, 1903, in St. Louis, and died Jan. 18, 1967, in St. Louis. |
