Summary:Last year Shelter spearheaded a campaign opposing government proposals to dismantle the homelessness legislation - our Home Truths campaign not only informed ministers, patrons and sponsors of our stance against the Government proposals, but actively enlisted their support through a highly successful letter writing campaign. Likewise, Shelter's opposition to the recent Criminal Justice Bill has been equally public, raising the issues of squatting particularly in Parliament, through the media and in mailings to our supporters.
