Summary:A 30-year-old man died and two other men were injured early today when a car struck a tree on Cedar street in Dedham. The driver of the car, Chester F. Schifone, 30, of 37 High st., Westwood, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, according to Dedham Police. Allen Pierce, 30, his wife, Laurie M., 34, and their year-old son, Jeffrey, of 184 Cedar st. were killed along with Pierce's father, Edwin, 72, of 16 Davidson st. about 1:30 Christmas morning. Charged in the case is David O'Connor, 16, of Lorraine street, Hyde Park. While the police cars and ambulance were at the scene, [Barbara Carney] said, she saw a group of teenagers in a car speed down Cedar street. She said they were yelling and "seemed as though they had been drinking."
