Summary:Despite the court order, pickets still blocked ARA buses at three locations in Boston - Bayside Mall in Dorchester, Cummins highway in Mattapan, and the former railroad yards in Readville. [Rya Zobel] agreed with ARA Services lawyer Robert L. Caporale, who argued that the issues that caused the strike were subject to the grievance procedure and to arbitration under the contract. The judge noted that there was a no-strike clause in the contract. Caporale argued that ARA could face damages and also cancelation of its $40 million, three-year contract with the School Department if the strike continued.
