Summary: | Southeastern Community College will offer Operating a Childcare Center: Startup and Existing, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Room 120, Building T. The Brunswick Family Assistance Agency will sponsor a food drive to support the United Way's Make a Difference Day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers will be posted at Food Lion stores in Leland, Seaside, Shallotte and Southport; the Hills store in Shallotte; and the IGA in Southport. They will collect nonperishable food to stock the agency's Emergency Food Pantry, which provides assistance to all Brunswick County residents in need. The most needed items include peanut butter, cereal, macaroni and cheese, tomatoes, canned meats, canned or dry milk, dry beans, rice and canned fruits. |
